CHAIN STITCH

Chain stitch is an outline stitch that creates a lovely textured line. It can be stitched along a curved or straight line.
Bring the needle up through the back of the front at point 1. Take the needle down at the same hole and leave a loop fabric to the.
 
Catch the loop with your next stitch at point 2 and tighten the thread.

Again, bring needle down at the same hole at point 2, leave a loop, then catch the loop with your next stitch at point 3 and tighten.

Continue to create chains in the same manner. To finish the stitch, bring the thread down at the bottom of the last loop.
