There’s something beautiful about turning baby clothes into a soft keepsake. Whether it’s a tiny pajama, a favorite t-shirt, or a shirt from someone you miss, you’re not just sewing a bear. You’re sewing a story.
That’s why I created the Memory Bear Ben pattern. It's a beginner-friendly project that gently walks you through the process, step by step, both in writing and in video. I wanted it to feel like I was sitting next to you, helping you make something meaningful.
Some tips I learned early on:
- If you're using baby clothes, avoid newborn sizes. Clothes from 6 months and up work better.
- Stretchy fabrics like jersey need woven fusible interfacing to stay stable.
- Take your time with stuffing. It changes everything.
- Use the Memory Bear Ben pattern, which includes video guidance for beginners.
