Materials

- Pieces of clothing you want to use for your memory bear;
-35x30 inches open (around 90x75 cm) if you are sewing the bear out of the same fabric;
- Lightweight woven fusible interfacing for lining the thin or stretchable fabrics;
- Black felt (best to use wool or wool blend) for the eyes and nose;
- 4 x two-hole buttons for attaching arms and legs;
-You are going to need a strong thread, like heavy nylon upholstery sewing thread;
- Stuffing.

Made for you who like to keep clothes because they hold a lot of memories, whether it's clothes that your child has outgrown or from a loved one who is no longer with you, or you just have a lot of fabric scraps that you would like to use up.

We made a simple button jointed MEMORY BEAR PATTERN that is suitable for use in even smaller parts but yet easy to sew.

This easy sewing pattern is for beginners. It includes step-by-step photographs, detailed instructions, a FREE VIDEO TUTORIAL for each step, and lots of tips from my years of dollmaking experience. The bear’s facial features are hand sewn felt. For sewing, your special keepsake bears you can use most fabrics just use interfacing to line fabrics when needed. Mixing and matching different fabrics makes your bears look amazing!

Memory Bear Ben is machine sewn with seam allowance included. Both metric and imperial measurements are included. Experience sewing cloth dolls is not necessary, just some basic sewing skills. And, I'm just an email away so please don’t hesitate to contact me.
